Tracking for Tatari

📘

Important: Our integration currently only supports Tatari ads using Streaming inventory — not Linear

This guide explains how to integrate your Tatari account to enable Tatari attribution in Northbeam.

Setting up Tatari within Northbeam involves four steps:

About the Tatari Integration

The Tatari integration allows Northbeam to receive Tatari-attributed orders and order values, integrating them seamlessly into your Northbeam data. With this integration, you’ll see a new attribution model called Clicks & Matchbacks:

  • Clicks: Refers to attribution from your other channels.
  • Matchbacks: Refers to data received from Tatari for orders attributed to their platform.

In the Matchbacks portion, Northbeam matches the order values reported by Tatari with the corresponding data in your account.

Step 1: Enable User Tracking

Tatari’s user tracking must be enabled to ensure Northbeam can attribute Tatari-driven orders correctly. We use the user_id from Tatari to match against our IDs for attribution.

To enable user tracking in Tatari:

  1. Log into Tatari.
  2. Navigate to Account Settings.
  3. Go to Tag Manager:
  4. Ensure that User Tracking is set up

Without this step, Northbeam will not receive the necessary user_id for matchback attribution.

Step 2: Enable AWS Data Sharing

AWS Data Sharing must be enabled for the integration to work. Follow these steps to verify:

  1. Log into Tatari.
  2. Navigate to Account Settings.
  3. Ensure AWS Data Sharing is enabled.

Step 3: Insert Tatari ID and Source of Truth

You’ll need to add your Tatari ID to Northbeam. Here’s how:

  1. Find your Tatari ID by logging into Tatari and checking your account URL.
    • It should appear in the URL (see #1 in the picture below):

  1. Enter your Tatari ID and Orders Source of Truth in the Connections menu within Northbeam:
    1. Log into Northbeam.
    2. Click Settings.
    3. Navigate to Connections.
    4. Scroll to Tatari.
    5. Enter your ID and Source of Truth.
  2. Click Connect.

Step 4: Insert AWS Credentials in Tatari

After connecting your ID and Source of Truth in Northbeam, an AWS dropdown will appear with credentials. Use these to complete AWS Data Sharing in Tatari.

Enter the credentials in your AWS Data Sharing menu in Tatari:

  1. Log into Tatari.
  2. Click Integrations.
  3. Select AWS Data Sharing.
  4. Enter the credentials from Northbeam.
  5. Click Add to complete this step.

After submitting AWS credentials, you're all set!

FAQ

Where is my Tatari Data?

After the integration is completed, your Tatari data will appear under the Clicks & Matchbacks attribution model. Matchbacks represent data provided by Tatari for attributed orders.

🚧

Tatari Data Fetching

It may take up to 7 days for your Tatari data to fully backfill. Once connected, files from Tatari are processed in order from oldest to newest.

How often do we pull in Tatari data? Should it be processed along with the processing schedule?

Tatari data is processed on the next execution after Tatari makes their reports available, which happens once a day. There is typically a ~23-hour delay on Tatari's side before their files become available to us. Once we receive the file, the data will be available on your dashboard after the next processing run.

For most accounts, processing runs occur every 6 hours, or every hour if you're on an upgraded plan.

Example (for a 6-hour processing schedule):

  • Tatari’s file containing data up to February 23, 2025, at 11:59 PM was made available to us on February 24, 2025, at 11:00 PM.
  • This means there is already a ~23-hour delay before we receive the data.
  • Since we process data every 6 hours, the data will be available on the dashboard after the next processing run (~6 hours later).
  • As a result, the data up to February 23, 2025, at 11:59 PM will not be available until February 25, 2025, at approximately 5:00 AM.
  • In total, this creates a ~29-hour delay before the previous day's spend data appears.
