Why is so much of my revenue “unattributed”?

Unattributed” revenue can occur for many different reasons:

  • Use of an alternative checkout used (eg., CheckoutChamp, Recharge, etc)
  • UTM parameters being stripped from URLs
  • Ad-blockers or privacy settings preventing Pixel firing
  • Traffic or purchases from third-party tools or marketplaces that bypass standard tracking

This is something we see with all of our clients, and it's normal when working in a complex marketing and tech stack.

While Northbeam represents the cutting edge of attribution technology, it's nearly impossible to capture 100% of all conversion data, especially in today's privacy-first ecosystem. That said, we actively work with you to:

  • Audit and identify common sources of unattributed revenue
  • Minimize tracking gaps
