Setup and REDS
Do I need REDS to use TradeDesk with Northbeam?
No. The standard integration works two ways: REDS (event-level data) or a scheduled report (daily email export). Both give you spend reporting and click attribution. REDS is only required if you want Clicks + Deterministic Views, because C+DV needs event-level impression data to match views to individual orders. What is REDS?
Raw Event Data Stream is TradeDesk’s event-level data export. Instead of aggregated daily totals, it delivers individual impression, click, and conversion events. It’s a paid add-on through TradeDesk. How do I get REDS access?
Contact your TradeDesk account manager and request Northbeam Curated REDS. You’ll sign an access letter authorizing TradeDesk to share your data with Northbeam — there’s a sample letter in the setup guide. Can I switch from the scheduled report to REDS later?
Yes. Request REDS access from your TradeDesk account manager at any time. Once the feed is provisioned, Northbeam begins ingesting event-level data and you can enable C+DV.Which TradeDesk channels support click attribution?
Display, Video, Native Display, and Native Video. Channels that don’t typically generate clicks — TV, Digital Out of Home, and Audio — will see minimal click-based tracking data, though spend still reports normally.I’m not seeing spend data.
REDS path: confirm TradeDesk has provisioned your feed and that the integration is enabled on your Northbeam Connections page. Scheduled report path: confirm the report is configured with the correct Northbeam email address and a daily cadence, and that the integration is enabled on your Connections page. Either way, allow one full data refresh cycle after initial setup.Clicks + Deterministic Views
I opted in but I’m not seeing C+DV data after 48 hours.
First confirm yourorder_id values match between TradeDesk and Northbeam. If they do, reach
out to your Media Strategist, Customer Success Manager, or
contact Support. Advertisers in restricted
or sensitive categories may have limited eligibility.
Why do I see “withheld” in C+DV reporting?
Northbeam hides low-volume C+DV rows for privacy reasons. A row that doesn’t meet the minimum impression threshold at that level of reporting shows as “withheld.” Aggregate totals can still include those values once there’s enough volume to show them safely. How often is C+DV data refreshed?
3× per day.Does C+DV support custom conversion events?
No. C+DV requires the standard purchase event with anorder_id that matches the order ID in
Northbeam. If the values don’t match, C+DV can’t link impressions to conversions.
