When you’re done, Northbeam shows your Snapchat spend, impressions, visits, and attributed revenue on the same campaigns, ad sets, and ads.
Before you start, make sure you have:
  • A Snapchat login with admin access to the ad account
  • Access to Snapchat Ads Manager to edit your ads

1. Connect the account

Sync spend, impressions, and campaign structure from Snapchat.

2. Add Northbeam parameters

Add nbt so visits and orders tie back to your ads.

3. Confirm tracking

Check that the parameter and the connection are working.

Connect your Snapchat ad account

  1. Open Connections. If you’re still in onboarding, go to Integrations instead.
  2. Find Snapchat Ads and click Connect.
  3. Sign in with a Snapchat login that has admin access to the ad account.
The connection pulls your current and historical campaigns, ad sets, and ads from the Snapchat Ads API, along with spend, impressions, and Snapchat-reported conversion and creative metrics. Impressions also power the Clicks + Modeled Views attribution model. If you skip this step: campaign, ad set, and ad names are missing, along with spend, impressions, and Snapchat-reported metrics.

Add Northbeam parameters to your ads

Add the nbt parameter to every ad. There are two ways to do it, and either one works.

Method 1: Appending in the URL

Add this to the end of your ad’s URL:
Have existing UTM parameters? Add ours to the end and join them with an ampersand (&). For example:

Method 2: Using the Custom Parameter field

Create a custom parameter with this name and value:To have Northbeam add the parameter to new Snapchat ads automatically, ask Support to turn on UTM auto-appending.
If you skip this step: Northbeam can’t tie visits and orders to your Snapchat ads, so spend and revenue show up on separate lines.
