# Exporting To GCS

> This page describes the Exporting To GCS of our Data Export API

# Exporting to an external GCS bucket

By default, all data exports are stored in Northbeam's internal GCS. However, if you prefer to export your data to your own GCS bucket, you can do so by following these steps:

1. Grant `Storage Object Admin` permissions to the email address
   `nb-data-export@north-beam-io.iam.gserviceaccount.com` in your bucket's IAM
   configuration.
2. Input the name of the GCS bucket you want us to send the data to
3. Click 'validate' to make sure the connection works
