# TradeDesk: Insert the UTMs

In TradeDesk, append the Northbeam click UTM parameters to your campaign click-through URLs.
These parameters are what let the Northbeam pixel tie a click back to a specific TradeDesk
campaign, ad group, and creative.

You'll find your UTM string in Northbeam under **Settings → Connections → TradeDesk**.

<Warning>
  **Your UTM must start with `&` or `?`.**

  * If the URL already has parameters, use `&`:\
    `yoursite.com?existing=param&nb_platform=tradedesk…`
  * If the URL has no parameters, use `?`:\
    `yoursite.com?nb_platform=tradedesk…`

<Note>
  Apply UTMs to **all** active campaigns. Campaigns without UTMs won't receive click attribution.
