# ROKT Setup

> Connect ROKT with an App ID and App Secret, and have your ROKT account lead add Northbeam UTMs.

When you're done, Northbeam shows your ROKT spend and uses ROKT impressions for **Clicks + Modeled Views (C+MV)**.

  **Before you start**, make sure you have:

  * A login to ROKT **One Platform** (`my.rokt.com`) so you can generate API credentials
  * A **ROKT account lead** you can contact to add the Northbeam UTMs

    **Generate your API credentials in ROKT**

    1. Sign in to **One Platform** at `my.rokt.com`.
    2. Open **Profile Settings** (under your account icon at the bottom left).
    3. Scroll to **Generate Personal API Credentials**.
    4. Enter a name for your app and click **Generate**. ROKT creates an **App ID** and **App Secret**.

    The app name can be anything, like `Northbeam`. It's only for your own reference. See [ROKT's guide to generating an App ID and App Secret](https://docs.rokt.com/developers/api-reference/reporting/query-api/#generating-a-rokt-app-id-and-app-secret).

      Save the **App Secret** somewhere secure. You can't see it again after you leave the page.

    **Enter the credentials in Northbeam**

    1. Open [Connections](https://dashboard.northbeam.io/settings/connections) and select **ROKT**.
    2. Paste your **App ID** and **App Secret**.
    3. Click **Connect**.

    **If you skip this step:** Northbeam doesn't get your ROKT spend or the impressions used for C+MV modeling.

    You don't add these yourself. Contact your **ROKT account lead**, and they'll add the Northbeam UTM parameters for you.

    Once the connection is live and the UTMs are on your ads:

    * **Parameters captured:** follow [Checking UTM tracking](/docs/checking-utm-tracking) to confirm the Northbeam parameters reach your landing pages.
    * **Connection syncing:** follow [Checking platform connections](/docs/checking-api-connections) to confirm the account shows as connected and data is arriving.

The ROKT integration supports these Northbeam attribution models:

* First Touch
* Last Touch
* Last Non-Direct Touch
* Clicks-Only
* Clicks + Modeled Views (C+MV)
