## Reddit Ads FAQ

### 1. Does the Reddit Ads integration support attribution and revenue tracking?

Yes. Reddit Ads supports click-based attribution when the account connection is active and the required Northbeam tracking parameter is present on each ad.

### 2. Which Northbeam attribution models are supported?

Reddit Ads supports:

* Clicks Only
* Last Click
* First Click
* Linear

Clicks + Modeled Views and Clicks + Deterministic Views are not currently supported for Reddit Ads attribution.

### 3. What Northbeam tracking parameter should I use?

Use:

```

Add it to the **Destination URL** for every Reddit ad.

### 4. Can I add the tracking parameter at the campaign or ad group level?

No. The Northbeam tracking parameter must be added at the individual ad level for Reddit Ads.

### 5. Does Northbeam pull platform-reported clicks from Reddit Ads?

Yes. Northbeam pulls platform-reported click data from Reddit Ads. This can be compared with Northbeam Visits to help identify tracking coverage issues.

### 6. How far does Reddit Ads spend backfill?

The integration can backfill up to one year of historical spend when the account is first connected.

### 7. Why might Reddit Ads reporting differ from Northbeam?

Differences are expected for several reasons:

* **Attribution method:** Reddit uses a Reddit-only last-touch methodology, while Northbeam considers touchpoints across channels.
* **View-through attribution:** Reddit can count conversions after an impression without a click. Northbeam's current Reddit attribution is click based.
* **Attribution windows:** Reddit's account-level click and view windows can be configured to 1, 7, or 28 days. Reddit's default is 28-day click and 1-day view attribution.
* **Historical recalculation:** Reddit recalculates historical platform conversions using the account's current attribution window settings. If those settings change, historical numbers in Reddit Ads Manager may change retroactively.
* **Timezone:** Reddit reports using the ad account's timezone, while Northbeam uses the timezone configured for the client dashboard.

### 8. Why is Reddit Ads data missing or incomplete?

Check the following:

* Confirm that the Reddit Ads connection is active and the correct account is linked.
* Reconnect the account if the Connections page displays an authorization error.
* Confirm that every active ad contains the exact Northbeam tracking parameter.
* Confirm that the parameter is added at the ad level.
* Check that the landing page and any redirects preserve the `nbt` parameter.
* Confirm that the landing page loads correctly after the parameter is added.

### 9. Will editing an existing Reddit ad affect its engagement?

It may. Reddit Ads Manager warns that editing an ad's creative can reset its votes, comments, and awards. Review Reddit's warning before saving changes to a live ad.
